There are two ways to find the information you are looking for:

General Search

You can search from a list to find the subject or information you are interested in.

• Click on one of the nineteen headings featured on the main page
• Choose a category from the list on screen
• Select a sub category
• Select an organisation or service from the countywide list

More detailed information will appear on the screen including contact details, opening hours and costs.

Specific Search

Click on the Search link on the left hand menu where you will find two seperate search options:

1. Childcare Services Search
2. Other Services Search (Organisaitons and Activities)

1. Childcare Services Search

The Childcare Services search allows you to search by the area you want the childcare to take place in, whether close to home or work. In the box type your preferred area (i.e. Shildon) or the first half of the Postcode (i.e. DL4) and click search childcare.

You can refine your search further by selecting options for:

• Childcare type
• Area
• Age range
• Availability

You can select as many options as you wish.

Once you are happy with your results you can either print the page using your Internet Browser's print function or view more information about the Childcare Provider by clicking on the name of the setting.

2. Organisation and Activities Search

The Organisation and Activities search allows you to search by the type of service you would like to access. In the box type the service you are interested in (i.e. Football) and click search services.

You can refine your search further by selecting options for:

• Organisation/Activity type
• Area

You can select as many options as you wish.

Once you are happy with your results you can either print the page using your Internet Browser's print function or view more information about the Organisation/Activity by clicking on the name of the service.

How to Print

To print any information select the print this page button before printing.

How to Feedback

Click on the Contact Us link on the left hand menu to view our contact details (Post, Telephone or E-mail). Alternatively you can complete the online Feedback form, please complete all applicable sections of the form and click Submit. Your feedback will be sent to the Families Information Service.

How to Join Us (Organisations)

Click on the Contact Us link on the left hand menu to view our contact details (Post, Telephone or E-mail) where you can request a questionaire to be sent out. Alternaitively, you can complete the online Join Us form, please complete all applicable sections of the form and click Submit. Your details will be sent to the Families Information Service.
