Durham Area Disability Leisure Group (DADLG)

We provide a countywide service for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Regardless of where you live in County Durham, we aim to enable families living with disability to participate in, visit and enjoy a wide range of sport, leisure and social activities and events together.

Regular weekly activities include:

  • trampoline clubs in two areas of Durham
  • taekwondo
  • exclusive use of a Wacky Warehouse

We also organise a variety of events such as family nights, theatre and cinema trips, days out and residential weekends.

Families have opportunities to say what sort of activities they would like to see provided through our dreams and wishes surveys and evaluation system.

We arrange activities for children and young people up to the age of 25 years. Once young people are 26 years old we look for funding to enable them to continue to benefit from our offer.

See our website and Facebook page for the latest activity newsletter, dates and times.

We only take requests for places via our email address or mobile telephone.
