Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome Help - HUSH

We can provide online support to you if you are affected by E.coli O157. We can provide information about the condition or put you in touch with people who have suffered from illness in the past. Young children and the elderly are the most vulnerable groups, but anyone can be affected.

E.coli O157 is a bacterium associated with undercooked food or faecal contamination. It can lead to blood disorders and/or kidney failure and even death.

An annual meeting is held in March, near Preston. Members and anyone with an interest in the bacterium are welcome to join us. We create a means of communication and increase public awareness, and knowledge. We aim  to encourage the Government to legislate effectively in order to decrease E.coli O157 poisoning cases.

The service is free to use, but donations are welcomed.
