Day Care/Befriender Angling Service - Wear Valley Angling Community Interest Company

We offer an alternative to 'traditional' day care and specialise in fishing trips for people with physical disabilities and or learning disabilities, mental health problems, people undergoing rehabilitation for drug or alcohol abuse and those who are socially disadvantaged.

All bait, tackle, and tuition are included, we also have temporary rod licences for you (please note the temporary licences are for short periods and you will have to buy a rod licence for longer periods). All we ask is that you come suitably clothed and wear suitable footwear. Transport can be arranged if required.

We work with small groups of between one and three.

We can also organise Pike fishing trips to the borders, Lakes and Scotland. These trips are not the usual price and arrangements are made via social workers/carers on an individual basis.
