We work with and for the people of upper Teesdale and beyond, across the rural communities of County Durham to help prevent problems from getting to the desperate stage.

Our services include:

• a drop-in for advice and guidance
• signposting to specialist organisations
• training
• business counselling
• assistance with filling in complex forms and paperwork

We offer help and training with the computerising of farm records and act as an advocate with other agencies and landlords etc.

We produce regular 'de-jargonised briefings' and newsletters about matters of interest to the farming and local communities. We also organise a variety of community and social events.

The premises may be open at other times for events etc such as fitness classes, theatre productions, exhibitions.

We offer the use of our premises and resources for a range of agencies and organisations, including CAB and NECA to use in an outreach capacity. This varies in line with the farming calendar, please contact us for details.

Membership and our services are free, with the exception of social events and some training.
