Little Treasures Autism Charity North East

Little Treasures support groups are for families of children with a diagnosis of autism or children who are getting tested. Siblings are also welcome. We are now a registered charity, supporting north east families.

Stay and play sessions

These sessions are all £3 per family.

We have specialist play equipment for the children to access at our stay and play sessions, and a sensory session with bouncy castle and sensory equipment. We offer free courses, trips out, book library, information, support, pamper sessions for parents, bouncy castle and activities within the group for children.

Our parent support sessions have speakers come in on different sessions with lots of useful information. these sessions are £2 per parent

Teen groups

Looking for somewhere safe and non judgmental for your child aged 9-16 years? We offer support groups for teens. These groups will encourage turn taking, team work and social building skills. Every so often we will venture out to do activities, these groups are £2 per ASD child. Siblings welcome free.

Lego session

a session to build on team work, social skills and inclusion, the children work along side each other creating some amazing things with lego in a safe enviroment. these are £2 per family.

Each group has information tables about whats on in our local areas and information on who can help with schooling, how to put in complaints, how to get second opinions and more!

We also offer goverment funded courses to parents, carers and schools on understanding autism and surrounding co-morbids. We offer workshops for parents on makaton, sex education for children with SEND, our own SEND Christmas parties and more

We also have a Facebook page Little Treasures Autism Group with lots of information on activities going on and instant support from members.

Cost description
All stay and play and sensory sessions are £3 per family and parent support session £2 per family.

Membership optional:
£20 per year - this gets you activities for half price so if we charge £10 you £5. You can attend any course we do in any area for free instead of £3. You will receive two newsletters a year, an autism journal and a membership card that you can use in any group.
Referral and availability notes

Unlike some services you don't need to be referred, you can drop in whenever you like. We do close most groups in July and we return in September.
