Little Hearts Matter

We help, support and act as a national voice for families where a single ventricle heart condition such as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Tricuspid Atresia, Double Inlet Ventricle or Pulmonary Atresia has been diagnosed.

We work with medical and social care teams to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the support and information needed by this group of people and their carers.

Our services include:

  • support and advice via 24 hour helpline.
  • information on diagnosis and treatment in an easy-to-understand format (folder and website).
  • putting families in touch with others with similar experiences through regional network support groups.
  • updates and ongoing contact via regular members' newsletters.
  • education events for families to meet and learn from medical experts.
  • specific bereavement support, both through telephone support line and remembrance days for bereaved families.
  • raising the profile of these conditions to ensure the children's special needs are more widely understood.
  • building relations within the medical world to increase awareness of single ventricle disorders.
  • events for the children to experience new activities in a supportive environment and to make new friends.

Activity events are organised for families, as well as an open day and remembrance services, please contact us for details. Local events are organised in different regions.
