Family mediation is about helping people who are in conflict over issues such as contact with children, non-payment of maintenance or issues relating to Property & Finance in divorce where professionally trained mediators will work with you to help you to resolve your issues, in order to reach an agreement that is satisfactory to you both.  Successful mediation removes the need to attend court.
