Durham Area Disability Leisure Group (DADLG)

We provide a countywide service for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Regardless of where you live in County Durham, we aim to enable families living with disability to participate in, visit and enjoy a wide range of sport, leisure and social activities and events together.

Regular activities include:

  • trampoline
  • football
  • taekwondo
  • quad bike riding
  • exclusive use of a Wacky Warehouse

We also organise a variety of events such as family nights, theatre and cinema trips, days out and residential weekends.

Families have opportunities to say what sort of activities they would like to see provided through our evaluation system and conferences.

We arrange activities for children and young people up to the age of 25 years.

There are also activities available for children and young people up to and above the age of 25 who live both within County Durham and the surrounding areas. These activities are advertised in the blue logo section of the monthly newsletter. Social nights and the 18+ Buddy Scheme are examples of what's available for adult service users.

Please visit our website for the latest activity newsletter, dates and times.
