Local Offer

Local Offer description

We have a nurturing ethos and an inclusive curriculum for all children. We support all children to achieve their full potential. In the first instance this is achieved through quality first teaching in class. Learning tasks are differentiated and additional support given for selected groups of children.

We promote mental and emotional wellbeing through our nurturing ethos; supporting all children to feel safe and secure and thereby in the right place to learn. We seek to prevent and deal with incidents of bullying, discrimination and unacceptable behaviour, by developing a climate where all children feel valued and through the delivery of the therapeutic programme Listening Matters, Relax Kids, group work, Lego therapy and connecting with children.

Positive behavioural management approaches are used to resolve issues as appropriate and 95% of skilful de-escalation is used to divert and support higher level complex behaviours that most of our children present.

Further information can be found in our: SEND information report, SEND Policy, Behaviour Policy, Physical Control, Anti-Bullying Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Equalities Policy and Statement of Intent Policy
