Cheesy Waffles Project
The Cheesy Waffles Project is a registered charity for children, young people and adults aged 6 – 25 years from across County Durham. Although our project is predominantly for young people with learning disabilities and/or emotional needs it is not exclusive to and all children and young people are welcme to attend.
We run different regular clubs during term time including
Performing Arts
Sports & Fitness
Youth Club
Adult Social Night
Junior Club
Saturday Activity Morning
Saturday Social & Activity Afternoon
A full programme of activities are delivered during school and college holidays which include social activities, learning, fun, centre based, offsite visits and trips, community engagement and overnight residentials.
Our Project is not a drop in and you will need to contact us to check availabiltity and that the correct support can be given. We work closely with parents and carers to ensure new members are welcomed and supported to settle in.
We deliver our activities from different venues. Our main venue is Belmont Community Centre located in Gilesgate Moor just outside Durham City Centre.
