Wheelyboat Trust

We help groups and organisations that are open to the public acquire Wheelyboats to provide mobility, learning and sensory impaired people of all ages with independent access to water-based activities.

Activities include:

  • nature watching
  • pleasure boating
  • powerboating
  • angling

Wheelyboats are uniquely designed to be fully wheelchair accessible and are easy and safe to board, operate and disembark. They have a drive from wheelchair console and are mostly self-operated. All newcomers are given a thorough induction on their safe operation or can be taken out by one of the venues operators.

Your nearest Wheelyboat venue is the River Tees at Stockton where a Wheelyboat for pleasure boating is operated by the Tees Wheelyboats Club.

For a full list of Wheelyboat venues and the activities they provide please visit our website or give us a call.
