Friends Action North East
We are a small charity working with adults and young people with learning disabilites and autism in the North East.
Our project champions friendship. We work with individuals and their supporters to look at the skills needed to help people make and keep independent friendships.
We offer a series of friendship workshops and we also offer our Tech Smart sessions which are aimed to help people stay safe on social media.
Alongside these we run lots of friendship groups and we run a 1:1 mentoring project where we match people with a volunteer to work on individual barriers to friendship and set goals working towards overcoming these.
