GFS Platform

Our staff of 24 and national network of more than 130 volunteers deliver a variety of activities, services and support to girls and young women in a safe, single gender, non-judgmental environment throughout England and Wales.

We support girls and young women through the difficult transition from childhood to adolescence to young adulthood. We provide opportunities for them to enjoy themselves and to develop their confidence, self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and resilience. We enable them to fulfil their potential and live as independent women.

Our programmes include general personal and social development activities for girls aged 6-14 years.  We also offer focused developmental workshops and courses for young women between 11-25 years, delivered by early intervention youth workers and prevention practitioners.

GFS Eldon offer weekly sessions providing a space for girls and young women to meet new friends in a relaxed, girls-only environment. We host a range of fun activities including crafts and life skills, games and trips out to help develop confidence and self-esteem. We also provide advice and workshops on a variety of topics for our older groups.
