Paula Park
I offer ‘30 hours childcare for working parents’.
I am a Childminder with 20 years childcare experience. I was graded 'good' by Ofsted at my last inspection.
My qualifications include:
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- NCFE Level 2 in Safeguarding Children and Young People
- NCFE Level 2 in Equality and Diversity
- Prevent Duty
- Up to date Paediatric First Aid
The setting has a Food Standards Agency rating of 5 and has in place a No Smoking Policy prohibiting anyone to smoke in or around the premises.
I hold a clean driving licence and I am fully insured to transport the children in my care on outings.
I provide childcare in a dynamic, enabling environment. I practice in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensure that all of the activities are age and stage related to the individual child.
Inside my setting there is a well-equipped play room and an area in which the children can set out and play their own games during free play time, we also do lots of arts and crafts in the kitchen area and spend time exploring sensory resources.
We also have an area for the children to take part in singing and dancing activities and we regularly participate Children’s Cosmic Yoga to help promote children’s physical development.
I have a secure outdoor environment in which children can explore, play and learn. It hosts a whole array of different activities for the children to take part in and there is also a lovely den for the children to play in. There are resources outside to support the children’s physical development.
I offer breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day.
I keep up to date learning journeys for each child and track their development and progress, to ensure they are meeting their milestones of development.
I work in partnership with the children’s parents/carers. I also work alongside the child's health visitor and carry out the child's 2 year development check if the parent/carers wish to do so.
The setting promotes equality and diversity, each child is an individual with their own needs and abilities and it is paramount that each individual child’s needs are met.
