Keelie Green - Lumley Childminding Service
I am a Childminder who has many years experience in a variety of settings. I have worked in private nursery’s, ran after school clubs and briefly worked for children’s services before working in a local ’outstanding’ school for 9 years. I have a degree in Education and Learning and a BA Hons in Education Studies. In 2015, I made the decision to become a childminder, and ‘Lumley Childminding’ has grown from there providing childcare in a home from home environment.
Our team also consists of Sandra and Anita, who have also worked in local schools for over 20 years between them, in a variety of roles. We are three different personalities ,which alot of parents like when choosing childcare - some want a homely grandparent type character whilst others want a more educational focused environment - we come together to provide both in equal measures.
I share my home with my husband and children. We also have two dogs who are very soft and friendly, but do have an area where they can take themselves away from the children - they tend to do this when my youngest is attempting to dress them up!
I provide children with a safe, happy and homely environment where they can learn and develop through play and having fun. I feel very fortunate to live in a fabulous village where there is plenty for us to see and do outside. There's a play park, a huge playing field, woodland walks, many local shops to visit and Lumley Community Centre which offers many activities. In holidays, outings are organised to Beamish Museum, Chester-le-Street Park, Sunderland Winter Gardens and Museum, the Discovery Museum and many more places.
Pick ups and drop offs can be arranged from Lumley Infants School and Lumley Junior School, with occasional nursery pick ups from Pelton Roseberry.
We provide free funded 2, 3 & 4 year old sessions. Accept most childcare vouchers and tax free childcare. As an ofsted registered provider you may be eligible for money towards your childcare through tax credits.
