We offer ‘30 hours childcare for working parents’.

We are a 45 place 'Outstanding' private day nursery with an out of school and holiday club provision operating within Aycliffe Village School. Our children greatly benefit from having free access to our exciting and challenging outdoor learning area.

Our nurseries aim to provide a family orientated service to ensure that all children can develop and learn in a happy, loving, secure and stimulating environment.  Our motto is 'Little things that count' and they really do!

Local Offer description

House of Eden, Aycliffe Village recognises that all children are unique individuals who have different needs. The nursery will endeavour to make sure every child’s needs are meet through their personalised individual planning to ensure their needs and learning goals are met.

Children who require additional support will be assessed and observed by members of staff including the SENCO, a plan of action will be made with parents input, this then be reviewed over a period of time. The nursery believe that parental involvement is key, so you as a parent feel involved in the well being and development of your child.

Practitioners undertake training and seek advice from relevant sources and professionals in order to provide quality care, our nursery have 2 trained SENCO’s who have gained their CACHE level 3 in SEN, and attends local authority training and meetings on a regular basis.

Practitioner training and qualifications include level 3 in SEN, Elklan training in speech and language development for under 5’s, autism awareness level 2 and behaviour management.

Current practitioner experience to date include supporting children’s emotional well being and additional needs, supporting children with autism, supporting children with speech and language needs, supporting children with no muscle tone and supporting children with cerebral palsy.

Some additional funding may be claimed from the local authority to support children with special educational needs.

All children will be provided with relevant activities and play opportunities that support their specific needs as well as being included in everyday activities, meal times and group times. These opportunities promote their well being and development as well as offering age appropriate challenge.

House of Eden, Aycliffe Village is a small nursery based in a village school, which is wheel chair friendly and accessible. They are happy to adapt the facilities to make the setting accommodating for your child’s specific needs.
