St Hild's College Church of England Aided Primary School, Durham - early years provision

We are a Primary and Nursery school located in Durham. We offer ‘30 hours childcare for working parents’ and we also offer free two year old places.

Our vision reflects a passionate commitment to learning and recognition of the uniqueness of individual learners. It is driven by the desire to offer the best possible education for pupils in partnership with parents and the local community.

Our school is for children aged 2-11 years. Our existence ensures the right of parents to have their children instructed in the faith of the Church of England, in a Christian atmosphere, within the family of the Church.

We aim to provide a happy and secure environment, where children think for themselves and use their own initiative as often as possible. The acquisition of the necessary basic skills is of great importance. We try to teach the children how to learn, rather than drill them with facts.

Parents are invited to help us fulfil this aim by mutual exchange of ideas and information. Parents are always welcome. If you are puzzled by anything connected with the school – come and find out!

We welcome pupils of faiths other than Church of England at St Hild’s CE Aided Primary School.
