Local Offer

Local Offer description

We welcome all children whatever their individual needs and will endeavour to provide a caring and happy atmosphere in an inclusive setting. We strive to develop inclusive practices through offering services to meet the diverse needs of the community.

To successfully achieve inclusion, we value each person’s individuality. We will endeavour to build strong relationships whilst working in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals.

Staff are experienced in working with children with a variety of specific needs and are supported through supervision and appropriate training with all members of staff being offered the opportunity to update training regularly, for example Makaton, Autism, speech and language.

Children are admitted according to the Inclusion Policy while acknowledging that, in the best interests of the children, additional resources may have to be sought and reasonable adjustments made prior to admittance of children with specific needs.

Our nursery is suitable for wheelchair access and has discrete nappy changing areas.

Additional specialised equipment and resources can be sought from external agencies.
