We have Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (SENCOs) who have been on relevant up to date training and are willing and happy to attend extra training necessary to meet all the children's needs. We thrive in supporting and sharing relevant information with parents/carers, ensuring individual needs of children is taken into account and additional support is given when needed.

We have a SEN policy in place. We follow guidelines from the SEN Code of practice and SEN and disability in Early years toolkit.

Planning is appropriate for all children considering children's individual needs, abilities and interests.
Children are offered hands-on activities that match a child's curiosity, interest, level of challenge and style of learning.
Children are often given the opportunity to participate in open ended activities that allow a child to explore and lead their own learning.

As a pre-school we welcome all services into our setting to access, gain awareness and provide support for individual children.
Our SENCO accesses the SEND service for further information and attends termly SEND business meetings to ensure we have the most up to date information.
We are awaiting to be allocated a Health Visitor.

The SENCO staff have over 20 years experience with SEN.
Staff have attended SEN training and attend termly SEND meetings to gain up to date information.
Staff are always willing and eager to attend relevant training courses.

The pre-school can be accessed by a small step into the main building leading to two rooms which are joined by a door
We have small toilets and hand basins appropriate for children to access themselves.
There is a large step into the garden area with a slight hill down to the grass area.

We have a good relationship with the Primary School across the road - attending the school to see the Christmas performance and access the library area.
Before transition occurs, regular visits to school to play and access the Reception class will be planned with the SENCO.
