Kidzone
We offer ‘30 hours childcare for working parents’.
We also offer the Play and Learn 15 hours for 2 year olds and universal 15 hours for 3 and 4 year olds. These hours can be stretched across the year if preferred ie. 11 & 22.
We are a family run day nursery, out of school club and holiday scheme located in Crook.
The children fundraise for various charities e.g. the local Food Bank and Children in Need.
The staff and children access the local area on a daily basis. For example, we buy fruit and vegetables from the market weekly, giving the children opportunity to handle money and feel part of their community. They also regularly visit the local library to choose books of interest to help support their learning within nursery. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Planning incorporates visits from the police, dentist, farmers etc. into the nursery to speak to the children to enhance the children's knowledge of the world they live in, safety and care.
We opened in October 2002 and have a very low staff turnover, ensuring continuity and a family environment for the children.

Local Offer
- Local Offer description
We have two SENCOs who regularly attend training updates. We try our best to meet the needs of all children requiring extra support. We work with all agencies involved, attend development meetings and allow the necessary professionals into the nursery to carry out assessments, physiotherapy etc.after gaining permission from parent/carers.
We follow any guidelines/plans which may be in place. We work closely with our local Health Visitors and the SEND team in County Hall to hopefully identify and support any additional needs early.
