Bullying and harassment

Bullying can happen at any time and to any child, although it most commonly happens in school. It can be carried out physically, verbally, emotionally or in cyberspace (online bullying).

Children with special educational needs and disability can be particularly vulnerable to bullying but it is important to remember that not all children experience bullying.

You can find more information on Durham County Council’s bullying and harassment webpage. Local and national organisations who can provide information, advice and support about bullying and harassment are listed on our Local Offer.
