Welcome to the County Durham Local Offer
We have a wide range of information for families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) including services that may help you or your child as they progress from birth to the age of 25.
How to use the Local Offer
To find what you need, you can select a topic or age category. You can also search by keyword(s) and/or postcode/location. You can narrow (filter) results, show results on a map, or even add results to a shortlist to tailor them to your child and family's needs. Further details about your search can be found on our useful SEND information for parents and carers page. We have Local Offer help videos available in English, العربية, 普通話, Polski.

High Needs Review and the Special Provisions Fund
In January 2018, we completed a strategic review of high need provision for children and young people aged (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), who live in County Durham or are looked after by Durham County Council. The final review report has been published which identifies some recommendations - find out more on our High Needs Review and the Special Provisions Fund page.
